View Full Version : Duron 800 + IWILL KK266
Okay, here's my situation, I've got Duron 800@107x9.0 right now. Problem is I can't get it to clock any higher. I'm using 256mb pc133 corsair, globalwin fop32 fan+heatsink, heatsink+fan over northbridge chip, case has dual fans in front, and dual exhaust fans in back. All in all heat is not the problem, and I get plenty of airflow. Bottom line is that if I try to clock more than I am at now the system wont even boot. Does anyone have any ideas, I'm desperate!!!!!!!!!
if you haven't changed the voltage from default, raise it some. also rasie the fsb and lower the multiplier.
i have mine at 992 124*8@1.75v
i have a duron 800 and kk266 also.
how did you unlock your chip?
i have the same board and chip and have gotten good results with excellent stability. enter bios and set the multiplier to 6.0 and boot into windows. after windows boots goto shutdown. there is a small jumper to the right of the cpu, the exact location is in your Iwill manual. set the jumper to 133 fsb and fire up windows.
now the fun begins to find the best fsb, multiplier, and voltage combination. good luck and try every combination, i'd still be running at a gimpish 140*6.5 except that a forum member suggested trying 150 fsb that worked great.

Durons can go higher straight multiplier OC. Mine can do 10x100 at 1.8V. It runs considerably hotter than at lower speeds and voltages. A real "*****cat" at 9x100 1.6V
