I'm building my first computer, and after reading this board for a couple months I think I know what I'm doing.
I've got the MB sorted out (either kk266-R or Kt7a-Raid)and most likely a Swiftech 370-0A or Alpha pal6305.
But, I'm not sure what CPU yet. Based on the forum and CPU database these seem to be good OC'ing chips..
T-bird 750 or T-bird 1000
I don't want to spend much more than $150.00 or so, which makes the 1.0 the upper limit of my budget.
What are the chances of finding these in blue core's?
Are most gone grabbed up now?
Based on what I've read the codes for the Blue's are usually A-----, with a couple of B----'s. Any production week's better than others?
How can you tell the week they're built?
I'm going to a computer show this weekend, so any last minute pointers would be helpful.
