I know Palomino is not far off, like another two months or so... does anyone know when Morgan (AMD's Duron/Spitfire successor) will be out? I know it's going to be socket A form factor, does anyone know specs? To my best guess it will be as similar to Palomino as Tbird is to Duron right now. From what sparse reading I have found, my best guess is Morgan is going to debut at 1 GHz, run on a 133/266 FSB, a lower default voltage than Duron, and have SMP enabled and will have potential for use in the AMD760 MP and similar chipsets..... correct me if I am wrong on any of this, but to me this sounds really cool. if it has anywhere near Duron's OC potential it'll be another grand slam for AMD. I was thinking I was going Palo and DDR in about november or december, but after hearing about Morgan I am reconsidering.... maybe Morgan/DDR? What I am trying to get is does anyone know any specific specs of Morgan and maybe a release date? this'll help my future upgrade plans. Thanks

Actually, Morgan is the successor of the duron and Palomino the successor of the Tbird. Enhanced core is the key feature. Read some about the roadmap of AMD here: http://www.overclockers.com/tips375/ and take a look at the slideshow (take nr. 20!). The boxes are where the CPU's are planned to be released. About the debut speed you can read the article. SMP seems cool to me to, but it's tricky for OC'ing, as 2CPU's become sooner unstable than a board with 1CPU. I'm also doing my futureplanning, hope this helps a bit, really waiting what Cebit has to bring :) :)
