## The Athy classic sports a crippled cache, from the standpoint the Cache runs at *And correct me if I am wrong* 1/3 of the bus speed. The t-bird has a full speed onboard cache built into the Chip wafer, the other cache on the Athy Classic was off Die, so it had to access it and then look back into the Proc. T-bird is the better design ##

i'll save you guys the trouble, If your thinking of upgrading from athon to tbird they say dont bother, but if you want a new chip they say tbird (well duh)

i dont know just an article pertaining to the question.

Now that's why I'm still such a great fan of overclocking slot-A athlons! Think I will go to a 700 0.18um soon for some real action. Slot-A still rocks and at some places they are really dumping them, you can get them real cheap! Next move after that will be palomino DDR.
