I don't see how this is any different from the original Heatpipe solution (besides they stuck a 120mm fan on the side)?

And that thing is $588... Harsh.

I think he converted from Yen to USD.
Plus, I think the $588 is for the card or card/Zalman combo.

I have the original Zalman heatpipe. Looks like all that is is a fan on the side. Easy mod

Yeah, conversion to USD...

If you were to buy the 9800 Pro (approx $400) and then the Zalman Heatpipe (~$35 w/120mm Fan) seperately, in the US it'll cost you more than a 100 dollars less...

Well... Whatever.

nope, it has an extra two brackets and a c groove on the top of each sink in this revision to hold those huge heatsinks together better stability. those two brackets are also what enable the fan to be attached, although that in itself is an easy mod (attaching a fan)
