well tried all day and could not stabilise this chip on my kt7 tryed every setting there is nothing worked

So you went out and bought yourself a brand new shiny 1.2 266 huh? It's funny. Everyone keeps trying to talk me out of that. "Oh no, get the 200. You'll have higher headroom for overclocking. It's the same core just different multipliers."

So tell me.... what made you do it? It wasn't those cpu codes I'm seeing Ed talk about on the main page was it? *s*

just looking to up grade probably order a abit kt7a tomorrow I had this new chip booting and loading windows at 1488 just could not get it to stabilize

Kat I saw somewhere they are suggesting 400W for the 1.2 266. Don't know if its true or not though.
Have you given any thought to Iwill? I know your an abit fan it's just a thought.

Keep posting your results I'm intersted in seeing how high that new cpu will go. I just ordered mine.

Hey by the way, whats the code on that chip? Also were the bridges cut or was it an unlocked cpu? I was afraid to ask about the bridges when I ordered! I don't want to burn my RMA privledges...

I think you might be right 400+ might be the way to go.. i`m going to test that theory tomorrow I have an old 200w AT ps I'm going to hook my hsf... hd ...and chipset hs,, to it

see what happens need to Finnish the burn in first.. ;D
