View Full Version : Did I get a 266 FSB??
I just received my 1.2 tbrid that is supposed to be a 266 fsb (OEM). The little sivers plate on the chip says 1200 but does not give any indication that it has a speed of 266. Also, and even more distrubing, is the fact the the little silver plate says "1999"!! Isn't this 2001?? What gives and how can I tell?
if its not a 266 be sure to tell us were you got it!
Have you tried it on a board yet? Whats it default to?

Look at the end of the CPUID nr.
B=200FSB
C=266FSB
me too, I just bought a Tbird 700mhz and it says 1999??? Should it be 2001? or I just got a very old chip that left over?
My guess is that's when they copyighted the name or architecture.
