Temp question, use probe?

I know i have an in-socket temp sensor. How else would i be able to tell a more accurate temp? Probe?

A sensor probe would be the best way...and if the wires are small enough...some are too big which kind of deafeats the purpose...the best place to have the sensor is...bottom-center of the CPU...

DD5's run around 40.00 or so...which is about the best ones out...
