Ok, it says on the WD webpage to use proper packaging..

Where can i go buy some "static shield bags"? And some foam? I bought the pos drive OEM, and i should be able to return it the way it was shipped to me, quite frankly i find this BS, but I have no choice. I emailed WD asking if i could order(as in pay for it) the proper packaging, but that was 2 weeks ago and I still havent recieved a reply. Also if its relevant im rmaing a Raptor.

Use the advanced RMA. They ship you the new drive and then you use that packaging to send the damaged one back. I did that with my 800JB and had no problems.

I think your best bet may be a local computer shop, or maybe a Best Buy. The easiest way is to use the same packaging that a new drive comes in. And any computer shop should have static bags laying around. I'm surprised you don't, I have too many of them. But I don't throw enough stuff out.

Foam rubber will work in a regular box, try scrounging up some of that.

If you have a credit card, you can use their RMA service where they send you the drive immediately, and then send yours back in the box the new one arrived in. If you are too young, your parents may be willing to do this for you.
