I (think) i am going to buy a Duron 700/800
and go for a 1 Ghz o/c
it will be an ABIT KT7A mobo
alpha cooler and delta fan + arctic silver.
i have some questions though:
i only have an 250w power supply.. could that be a problem with a GeForce 2MX?? i have heard that they use alot of power.

I only have cheap generic RAM... 1 stick 128 and 1 stick 32.... problem?? or not? have heard of some incompabtility problems on AMDs with generic ram?

I don't know about ur RAM.
I have a Duron on a A7V, with a GeForce2 MX, 2HD's soundcard and a netcard, and I havent had any power problems yet. So I think u should be fine, but a 300W or more would be the best.

I use a KT7 non-A and with my Duron 600, it OC'd to 10x100 effortlessly at 1.8V. In that scenario, my PSU was literally loafing. I use a GeForce2-MX AGP board and 2x128M PC133 generic Ram. Not sure if that one 32M stick will adversely effect your OC effort though. Also have 2 HDD and a CDR/W. It would be a better long-term plan to have a 300W PSU though.
