Anyone having sound problems

I bought an ASUS A7N8X Deluxe board which I used to build a new system. Last night after putting everything together and after flashing the BIOS, I installed Win XP Home Edition. Everything worked great last night before I went to bed but today I don't have any sound. I can hear "*******g Betty" talking but once Windows initializes, I get nothing. I can plug in the mic and hear myself talk in the speakers. Programs such as WinAmp & Windows Media produce NO sound.

(EDIT) Ok, I can hear through my headphones though I have to crank them up and the sound is still a bit muted. Anyone have any ideas on how to boost the sound?

Nevermind. I got it, I had to look outside of the box for a few minutes.

happened to me a few times.. i had to reinstall the sound drivers
