Hey guys, what can anyone suggest todo to get started with this new (unlocked) cpu and overclock with the new asus a7m266 ddr mobo? !!!!!help!!

He! He! I, Bandito, have an A7M266 mb, but it will not accept my Swiftech MC462B hsf. :( The A7M266 has an extra capacitor in the way. I am conversing with Swiftech and CoolerGuys to figure out what to do, but I think ultimately I will have to go with the 370-07A model which I am not even 100% sure if it will work too. I'll measure it later. A bit distraught at the moment. :(

You might want to take a look at this review, it gives some specific recommendations about jumper settings that worked out well when I just set up a A7M266 with a 1.2 Bird(9X133).

Take particular notice to the info about V I/O1, I followed their advice and improved my Sandra Memory Scores.
