Temp differences for 9700pro...

Anybody have actual numbers on what kind of temp reductions they got using a GPU W/B instead of the stock cooling on any 9700pro card. I have the. Tyan Tachyon G9700pro which has built in temp monitoring. At idle I sit around 56°C. When gaming it goes up to around 60-65°C. I don't o/c the card. But I might a little if I water cool.

i will in a couple days... got a DD gpu wb coming... will post results...

i have a probe on the backside of my 9700 pro... before i took off the stock fan and replaced it w/a 65mm ( or something like that ) and scrapped off the lame @$$ "thermal" compound they put on the gpu, replacing it w/a little shin etsu g751... my temps were 48°c idle... after mods ~ 37.5°c idle... no *****

heres some load temps:

ambient temps ~ pretty constant 70°f ( in basement )

rallisport challenge ~ res:1023x768 / 32 bit / everything else set to HIGH - 47 - 48c

quake 3 ~ res:1023x768 / 16 bit / everything else set to low - 41c

vietcong ~ res:1023x768 / 16 bit - 43c

unreal tournament 2003 ~ res:1023x768 / 32 bit / everything else set to HIGH - 46c
