I want to overclock the multiplier on my Slot A Athlon. Its at 9 X 100 right now. I want to put the multiplier up 1 so i caan hit 1 Ghz. Is there an artical explaing where i could just connect certain golden fingers to achieve this? Sorry if this sounds stupid, i just don't wanna spend 50 bucks on the golden finger device.

The only other wa to OC the slot a is to desolder and resolder the little smd resistors on the pcb of the proc. Tomshardware.com has a great article on how to do this. You are much better off getting the goldfingers device unless you are REALLY good at soldering. I've seen them as low as 30 bucks or so, you just have to look around a little. Good luck on the OC to GHZ!!! :-)

enjoy! But believe me, GFD's are around for 35 bucks and without the need of external voltage. They are a lot easyer to use. I have TD2, it's good!
Succes!
