I have to RMA my mobo to newegg, meanwhile I wanna test out my Radeon 9500 NP, will it run on my brother's old mobo with 4x AGP? I don't think so, but I wanna make sure.

As long as your motherboard supports 4X AGP you will be fine running a newer 4x/8X card on it.

The combinations to avoid are either a new 4X/8X card on a 1X/2X (AGP 1.0) motherboard or a 1X/2X card on a 4X/8X motherboard. Signal voltages were changed between AGP 1.0 and AGP 2.0 and most if not all AGP 3.0 (current) cards and motherboards do not support the oldest AGP 1.0 standard. You may have noticed that new video cards and motherboards do not claim !x or 2X AGP support.
