View Full Version : Temp question on 1000@1200???
I am getting a max temp of 50'C under load at 1.85V, room temp is about 25'C or so. I know this is warm, but I am wondering if its stable, then will it be ok at this temp, or will I have to buy a new proc in a couple of months? I don't have the cash to get better cooling as yet, I just mounted 3 fans on my hs(2 blowing in the side, 1 blowing it toward a fan that vents out of the case). Please let me know. Thanks. :-)

Well, you're max temp of 50C itself is not warm at all. Considering your room temp is only 25C, it's not the best cooling delta, but the end result is a decent temp for your processor. It will not die at that speed by any means.
Thanks a ton!!!! This is great, I love these things. Lets see if I can get 1250 :-)
An accepted IC Industry tenet is that for every 10C you decrease the temperature, you will realize a 2-5% improvement in performance. Improvement is a vague term. It can mean faster, more stable, lower OC core voltage, etc.
