If I dont care about the sound abilities of the v2.0 board, is there a real reason to get a v2.0 instead of a 1.2? I am on a budget, and if the 1.2 will OC pretty well (I know not quite as well as the 2.0) I would rather save the $$ and get a v1.2.

What other substantial benefit does the 2.0 have? I assume the BIOS is upgradeable to a version newer than the original one that came in the 1.2.

Thanks
Brian

1) the sound is identicle on both versions
2) version 2 boards have virtually iliminated corrupt bioses - the earily version were plagued with it.
3) overclock a lot better
4) generally more stable all round.

if you dont need "soundstorm" (i cant think why not) or sata or firewire, then just get the plain vanilla nf7. just make sure its a version 2 otherwise you'll be shooting yourself in the foot.
