ok i got a new vid card that came with ghost recon...after installing the game, i would try to start it, and it would exit almost as fast as it started up. i patched it to 1.3, then to 1.4 and now when i try to start it, it says "please insert your original ghost recon cd" while i do have the CD in the drive, what gives? i even tried just patching it to 1.3, and still gives me the same error. what do you guys think the deal is?

from what i've heard, you have to email ubi soft(i think thats who you email) and ask for a special patch.

if you read the readme or manual for the game, it usualy lists the cdroms that have trouble with the cd-checks for the game.
my best bet would be to just d/l a nocd crack.

I have a similar problem with war3tft. Everytime i start the game, it would tell me to insert a cd. Eventually i figured out that for some reason the game would only run if I had folding on. wierd.
