I have been reading here that a lot of poeple overlook getting a good Hdd, opting to upgrade system speed in other areas (CPU RAM mobo).
A few months ago when upgrading from a Pentium 333Mhz :D, the Hdd i chose was the WD 400BB.
40Gb is enough for me at present (most of my programs are on CDs) but what i'm not sure about is, should i get the WD 800Jb purely from a performance point of view?
IE what is the performance diff (% and real-life) between BB and JB drives? Or should i just wait for the next generation of Hdds?
I usually upgrade my PC every 1.5 to 2 years....... basically for the bigger performance Jump. But if this Hdd will improve overall performance, I'll get one. I use the PC mainly for entertainment (music, games) as well as study (University).
Thanks.
