Hey pplz, well many people have been argueing about whether or not AMD Tbird 1.2ghz 200fsb and the 266fsb are the same. What i dont understand is, wouldnt the 200fsb version be better, because if you turn up the fsb to say, 233 or 266, it would be much faster than the 266fsb version, because the 266fsb version has already been overclocked just to reach the speed of 1.2ghz. Please explain.

the 200 and 266 models are exactly the same cpu only set at diferent multipliers. the only reason why the 266 seems to be better is because when you buy a 266 the odds are it is "newer" than the 200 which has been around for months now. the "newer" the cpu is, the higher it can overclock because the manufacturing process improves all the time :) actually a newer 1 ghz cpu will probably overclock better than an older 1.2 cpu :)
