What kind of ram do you have and what speed is it running at? Ram has a ral big impact on 3Dmark's scores. And you may also want to make sure that the AGP speed is at it's max"2X, 4X or whatever.) :-)

Usually, a low score like that means you've forgotten to install the VIA 4 in 1's, but you said you have so it's quite strange :) What version have you got on? I am an Intel man so aren't sure which are the best, but I think 4.28's are quick...

Sorry I couldn't be of more help :(

Bring Up Your Mobo FSB A Bit,
And Go In To Your BIOS And Set The DRAM Timing To As High As It Gets!

no, dont do what S.D. says unless you want to.
your driver revisions might be a bit old, or it could be a vid card BIOS or mobo BIOS prob. since u say u got the drivers new, make SURE to put the VIAs in first. Update those be4 u tweak with stuff!
always get stuff Nice N' Stable be4 you tweak, or you're in a load of trouble.
yes, like someone mentioned, some GF2MX makers are using ****ty ram that is 6 nanosecond RAM, which isnt fast enuff for a power-hungry GF2 chip.
If u et a GF2, get an abit, Asus, or a brand you know and trust.
or just email them and ask =]
well, g/l and have fun....
1 last suggstion:
take ur vidcard drivers out, put in the VIA drivers, then install fresh vid drivers from the manufacturer webpage.

When you do install those VIA 4 in 1's make sure that you install the AGP part at the Turbo setting otherwise your AGP setting will always be at 1x instead of 4x.

i had similar prob last night, put new mobo & cpu in (kt7a & 1gig tbird) loaded 3dmark2000 and scored a stonking 1890 with my geforce2 gts 32ddr.
tried all above suggestions, but no good
then diehrd suggested checking in bios if i had turned on all the shaddowing options for the vid car bios and ram.....which i hadnot.
switched them on and got a score of 6890(now upto 7020 with a bit of twecking of the vid card)..........
thanks diehrd !!!!!!!!
hope this helps ...................?

I agree with all the above advice about the BIOS tweaking.... I have found this website to be particularly helpful as far as video card issues go....
Tweak3D (http://www.tweak3d.net)

Just look through some of their tweak guides. And remember, 3DMark performance is not the end-all-be-all.... it's how your box performes on the games YOU play. 3DMark is mostly a tool for those of us who feel inadequate in the winkie department and need something to be bigger than the next guys'. :-) Don't sweat it too much if you can't get a good score. Do what you can, give up when you can't do more.

With a score of 3000 or better i think you can just about rule out the via drivers. Prolly be lower if you missed the 4 in 1 pack..I would get a small program called pciList and test the agp.. I think you are running in less than 4x
