Hello folks.

I've just assembled my system with :

Asus P4C800 Gold Version ( non-deluxe + ICH5R )
Intel P4 3.0C Boxed
Geil PC3500 2*256MB ULD Dual channel Pack ( 2-3-3-6@433Mhz )
Zalman 7000 AlCu CPU Cooler
PSU Be Quiet! 370Watts
WD SE 80 GB HD

I use Windows XP and don't OC until I'm not satisfied with the default speeds... i.e. FSB @ 200 ( 1:1 mems @ 400 ) !

Latest P4C800 bios, 1010 final

All power settings at Auto/Default, ex: vcore @ Auto (1.55v)

Just put the Performance Acceleration Mode to 'Enabled' , @ the Chipset Settings

The most agressive latencies I can boot is :

CAS ......................: 2
RAS Precharge ......: 2
RAS to CAS ...........: 3
Precharge Delay ...: 6
Burst Length .........: 8

But I can't boot the system at

CAS ......................: 2
RAS Precharge ......: 2
RAS to CAS ...........: 2
Precharge Delay ...: 5 or 6
Burst Length .........: 8

as almost of you guys can ! Even try with vdram @ 2.85v !

What's wrong ?!?
Is this system suposed to give me more performance or is just this ok ?

Other thing is the "JumperFree Configuration\Perfomance Mode", if I put it at 'Turbo' the system won't boot no matter what, even @ 2-3-3-6 ! Just works in 'Auto' or 'Standard' ! What does this option mean ?

Have I got a bad board or is the Geil DRR ?!?

Thanks.

Geil DDR is really bad.. has bad reviews most of the ppl here.. personally i read many horror stories about Geil and wouldnt spend my money on it. I would much rather give my money to a more reliable company like corsair mushkin or twinmos
