just bought both these items, and am wondering do i need to hack l1 bridges? cant i just set the board too 125 fsb? my memory is pc133 so it wont even be stressed at that speed. or should i hack it and set to 10x100?
plz help with any ideas
I'd hack the L1 bridges because you can then play with variations of both the multiplier and the FSB. Tweaking back and forth between them, with an occasional vcore bump is how you navigate your way up to the max you can get out of your setup.

Won't it be better to run your duron 800 @ 1GHz 286MHz DDR (7X143MHz). Let see what that motherboard can DO.
I currently don't have a motherboard with the KT-133A chipset, so FSB OCing is out of the question. I do have one on order. More on that when it arrives. I ran my Duron 600 at 10x100 @ 1.85V, HstClk+PCI. It was a real screamer and the temps were not out of this world.
Using Sandra2001, the CPU performed as follows:
Dhrystone ALU 2748 MIPS
Whetstone FPU 1351 MFLOPS
and the memory was:
Int ALU/RAM Bandwidth 464 MB/s
Float FPU/RAM Bandwidth 540 MB/s
Multimedia was:
Integer MMX Enh 5540 it/s
Floating-Point 3DNow! Enh 6727 it/s
Not too shabby for a $42.00 CPU
I bought a 650 Tbird and it doesn't OC nearly as easily.
