guys...question about unlocking the L1 die thing on the t-bird...

if i do the pencil trick and connect the little peices of metal on the L1 thing and leave my mobo settings to auto detect for the voltage and stuff will it still work as normal...like if i leave my mobo settings alone and unlock the chip will it be as if it wasnt unlocked and i havent changed anything or do i have to specifically set my mobo dip switches once i unlock the chip?...i have and asus a7v133 mobo...thanks guys..

An unlocked chip will behave the same as a locked chip unless you change the multiplier or voltage. I don't have your board but I believe that dip switchs are used to make the changes. This should be in the manual.
