P.S. Masterchief: I think that your sig may be in violation of the sig rules. Not trying to be a stickler, but I though I would let you know before a mod notices. ;)

So here's a question related to this, what about orientation? Do most of you have them placed bottom up, so that you're pulling air in at the base and exhausting at top/back? I'm curious as I'm getting ready to add a few more fans to to my setup as the measly 4 I have just don't cut it. Unfortunately my computer room is quite warm during the summer and my system is running at 36°C/70°C under load consistently with an open case and a house fan on it at the moment. It locks up if I don't do this.
What concerns me is that my system sits on the floor, and gets quite dusty. So pulling air into the system with bottom mounted fans would probably just worsen the condition I'm thinking. Filtering is an option, but I'm undecided on what material works best without affecting airflow.

I've got a total of 4 fans.

CPU Cooler
VGA Cooler
Power Supply
Front intake

This leaves my OCed temps at around 42c when it's 90f out - I'm ok with that.

Eight fans in my case,
all high speed fans too, so its a bit loud.
I gotta get a fan bus.
