9800np all the way. You will definitely get more perfomance than the $20 price difference indicates.

9800np... there's a reason ati uses the "upped" numbering system (7000, 8000, 9000, 9100, 9500, 9700, 9800, etc). I aggree with Mustanley, for $20, you'll get more than you think.

THe R9800np performs almost equally as the R9700 Pro, and the R9800 has a higher o/c potential.

If by that you mean that a higher number card is always better than you are wrong. Ex: 9500 pro is much better than 9600 pro and 8500 is better than 9000 pro.

In this case, however, Id go with 9800np.

Oh and 8000 doesnt exist, methinks.

Im also debating which to get, reason why I dont want a 9700 is cause its almost a year old. Im trying to wait until the r360 comes along, maybe then I can get one of those models.

Your right, there is no 8k... and with the ONE exception of the 9500 being better than the 9600, the rest holds true.

Also, if I were going to buy another, I would buy the ACTUAL ATI card, not a Built for ATI, or a Sapphire. I had a horrible time with the sapphire and tech support (green/pink lines).

Yeah, the 8500 is better then the 9000 and the 9200 and in some cases the 9100.

The 9100 is better then the 9200.

The 9800 np is the same as the 9700 pro

The 9500 pro is better then the 9600 pro

BTW- Saphire makes most of ATI's Built by ATI cards, so the quality is the same, but I hear their support is lethargic at best....
