well, i LOVe athlons and durons, and if i had enuff, i'd be over in a second.

But something is telling me to just get an intel board for my Cel400 and jump it to 600, and get a 3D vid card. If i bought a mobo+CPU+fan, i couldn't get a 3D vidcard =(
unless someone has a setup with a kt133a chipset they dont want, i'm gonna have to go to intel for a while. I dont wanna, but i want 3d vid....

i'm thinking:
Get an ASUS P3V-4X, a CUV-4X, or aan ABiT VL6/VH6/VH6-II......
if u guys have any past experiences with those boards lemme know.

Well, I built the wife a system built on an ABit VH6 using a Cely2/600, and it OCs nicely at 950Mhz. I highly recommend the Cely2/600 because they pretty much all will do at least 100Mhz FSB, and most will go up to 110 or so.

Have you considered a Soyo board. I have a 'Slotty' SY6VCA, and I got my c566 to POST & load win98 Boot menu from Floppy disk at 1003 in a Soltek Slocket at 1.8V.

WildAndy_C had(has got) 2, mebbe 3 systems running on Socket Soyo boards. I've heard he's got a cC0 celly 600 running at 133. OK, mebbe voltage adjustment is by jumper/pin wrapping (one of the reasons I got a 'slotty' mobo- Slocket Voltage adjustment). From what I've read here and other places, Abit has lost the plot as far as QC goes, The modern CuvXs are missing some FSB settings.

Personally I Like Soyos. This board was a quick purchase to replace a dead BH6. I'm glad now that nowhere did have the Abit 694x chipset slotty board... but that's just me

CS, what kind of CPU Mark 2000 result are you looking for? Is 2064 considered good?
