OK my parents are looking into getting new tv and all that stuff, i suggested a few days ago to get a computer with a all in wonder grapics card for tv and a dvd player and a wall projector then 2day my parents got a book in the post 2day showing wall projector tv's and there NOW intrested. The cheepest one from that book is £2,400 and thats for a 900mm x 1600mm screen if i can sort out something better for cheeper it would be fun and then when they go out i can take my rig in there and play games on it :p

DOSE any one have any one have a projector for there pc? how well do the TV channels look when taken from a ATI all inwonder grapics card

if i can get it sorted for less then that price and its better then im sure they will let me do it :)

Did you know that the light bulb in a projector costs about $500.00? Also, did you know that the life of the light bulb is about 500 hours? That works out to about $1 per hour. Projectors are not yet ready for prime time!

am designing my bonus room for exactly that situation - to create a home theater system that uses my computer as base of operation..........just bought a radeon AIW 9800 pro and will be searching for components to add to the system........am trying to solve a sound glitch at the moment but hopefully won't be a problem...........an HDTV will be the center piece when everything is finished.........

I've been looking to do the same thing Drspanky but after research, I learned the same thing that JimmyD said. It just isn't economical yet.
