he said it was my steping, as i have read from other posts i see it relates to overclocking..am i right. what is stepping and what does my

the 2500 means it is a 2500 CPU...the aqxea is the die number that was used at the time...the 03 means the yea...22 means the week...the a is the voltage...w is the default FSB...

well if you uderstand which stepping OC the best...this is how to tell which CPU will give the best OC...

Any idea how good this stepping shows my oc can be?
( i know i worded that wrong sorry)

I have almost the same stepping (not currently using the cpu)-
AQXEA 0323UPAW
I ran it to 2400MHz stable on the A7N8X deluxe board. Didn't run it for more than 2 days though.
You should be able to get it to at least 2300MHz I would think.
I got 2300MHz at 1.7V with water cooling.

go to the CPU database on the front page
and you can see how ppl are doing with that stepping

why the hell am i having trouble oc ing this chip then.
I mean ya this is my first machine, first overclock and im really new to it but what am i doing wrong.
CUrrently im 200* 11 at 1.7vcore
when i did 200*11.5 at 1.8 i was unstable..
Check the temps of the proc, heat does NOT help with overclocking. and it may be possible you need more Vcore although don't hold me to that. that's the fun of overclocking, trying to find the problem and fixing it.

nah heats not an issue, my slk800 is keeping it nice and cool. well when i was at 2003 i think my temp was around 42 when i booted. im not sure.
I like my current temps i have now 36° load @ 2205 mhz w/ 1.7 vcore
but when i went to 2.3 w/ 1.8 vcore i was at 42 temp and i just booted in windows. What exactly is a bad load temp..im so paranoid. i have 2 120mm fans and a slk800u with smartfan i should be getting good cooling.
