The 12V aux connector is just two pairs of ground and 12V. If you had an appropriate connector you could make an adaptor that plugged into a drive connector. But considering how inexpensive new supplies are and the length of time since you've had a new one I'd consider just replacing it. You can get one of the 350 Fortrons from newegg very cheaply and have a very nice supply (better than a 400W enlight) or splurge and get a 530 Fortron or Antec True Power 430 or larger.

Techincally you could get or buy an adaptor for the 12V aux line but I would still recommend taking advantage of how cheap and capable modern supplies are.

I would get a new psu. You can get fortrons for really cheap now if you don't want to spend much money.

since you said it's just 2 12V wires + 2 ground wires, is it possible to make the connection from the normal molex? the normal molex consist of 1 12V + 2 ground + 1 5V wires right ??

i know the new PSU is not so expensive nowadays, but i just love modding :)

I saw an adapter cable at Fry's once, where they keep all the case accessories, but most PSUs have some spare holes in their circuit boards where you can solder the extra +12V and ground wires, but I've sometimes had to drill tiny holes for them (be really careful doing that -- you don't want to drill into a capacitor).

Well yes i would say you could make/get a n adaptor and it would probably work. But i wouldn't recomend it. The entire reason why they have another wire for the processor is because it draws alot and that the power shoud be "clean" for lack of a better word. If you are making an adapor off a standard power socket you may not be suppling enough or clean enough power to the processor. I would HIGHLY recomend not doing it! Your better off just buying a new p/s may i recomend a chiectec. got mine from tigerdirect.com, great supply for a great price!

Hope i could be of help

Get a new PSU.
I like Channel Well(the "250w" Dell PSU I have is said to be a 330w Channel Well).
