Yes, I FINALLY got it up (2nd in sig)! It took me awhile to find my old CD-ROM. It's running Arkaine's Overclockix now. I'm hoping to push it even more by week's end.

Also, the parts for my dad's new computer should be coming by this weekend. That'll be another ??? as it's a 1700+ and is going to be OC'd thoroughly. Nothing like a little father/son time teaching your 60 year old dad how to OC :D.

Here's some quick specs on that machine:

1700+ on a PC Chips M847LU MOBO with integrated video/lan/sound.
256MB Geil Golden Dragon PC3200
52X CDROM
10 bay RaidMax case with 350W PS
Whatever size hard drive I have laying around...probably 5.4 GB.

Should be good for at least 7-8 WU's a day I would think. He never uses it for anything more than e-mail, web browsing, and this DOS word processing program written in 1982! We can't let all that power go to waste, so I'll set Spy and Driver up on it. He's on dial up at his shop and only connects once a day, so I'll have to cache like 10 WU's to start.

If he is on dial-up - I would recommend a cache of 3-4 days crunching - just in case;)

I was thinking 30 WU's but he gets on to check his e-mail daily. Guess it couldn't hurt though.

Wow, that's great :)

I'm assuming the motherboard isn't overclockable because it's a PCChips board? You may just want to take a closer look at how well it's performing (Whether it is up to par with the other XP chips). PCChips don't make very good board in terms of performance.

What matters is you added machines though hhehe! :)

Yeah, I may try the wire trick or something on it though. I gotta see what's in the BIOS. Then there's always CPUFSB :D. I'm sure I can get something decent out of it. The price was right though because he didn't want to spend alot on building a new computer. I got the case with PSU, board, chip, Tt Volcano 7+, memory, and a Tt Duct Mod for me for like 280 shipped! He just got the 52X CD and a new floppy drive less than 6 months ago so we're gonna reuse that, and I am gonna give him one of my older HD's like I said earlier. All in all, it should be a nice upgrade to his Pentium 200 MMX w/ 64 MB SDRAM!
