View Full Version : antec 330w true power from newegg?
Would this enough to overclock p4 2.4c? I will only have the video card (ati 9500), two maxtor 5400 drives, and one cdrw installed in this setup. If I need more power please let me know. Thanks

I would think its enough.... I got 2 CD drives, athlon XP 1700@2100 and 6 hard drives running on a junky 350 watt CompUSA psu(dont ask) and having no problems.. (plus an ATI 8500LE and a few nic cards, oh and half a dozen 120mm case fans ;) )

i'd go with the true430 for $25 more
your p4 runs off the 12v
xp's don't(i think)
plus it will last you longer (for upgradeing)

I though the discussion a while back was that older athlons ran on 5v and newer runs on 12v? or was that the other way around?

The True 330 may do for some mild o/c action, but will probably run out of juice before you get to the limits of the CPU - I second the recommendation for the 430 or better.
