1) My CPU is running at 800MHZ on A7V and average idle temp is about 50degrees celsius. That is rather high and i dont understand. It tends to hang whenever i do anything that requires extensive CPU usage namely 3D games.... it is curently using factory heatsink and fan.... what is wrong??

2) I unlocked it using the pencil trick and it works at mult 8.5 fsb 100 and default voltage (1.73). tried other mults but did not boot. <----what is wrong? I changed the fsb to 90MHZ and 1.85v with a mult of 9.5.... turns on (at 950MHZ) ... but will not load windows. and why cant i use other multipliers on 100MHZ....

3) I tried using 105MHZ fsb with 1.8v and a mult of 8.5... boots and runs... but still having the temp problem... need advice........

That is way too hot at idle. I would say the heat is causing your lockup problems. You will have to check and make sure you have a good seat of the HSF on your core. Also, if you aren't yet, make sure you are using thermal paste to aid in heat transfer. You should really consider going to an Alpha or GlobalWin if you want to avoid heat problems.

HEAT HEAT,Please check that heat sink,I have built several duron systems with basic heat sinks and the idle temps are way lower the 750 I have burrning in at this moment is at 38c,Loaded

Another thought... could it be because of my RAMs?? I have not checked who makes the RAMs... but i think it is generic......
