View Full Version : Source for 1.2GHz 266 (AXIA) Chip
Do you know where I can locate a vendor to purchase this chipset.
Pat
just found my AXIA chip today, 1gig though, but good enough. The best way to find one is to go around to computer shops and shows and ask for an OEM tbird and ask to look at the code. That's about the only way i know of and had success with. Cause online stores can't and won't look at the chips so you have no idea what your getting. And if you find a place that is selling those chips specificly then they are more than likely charge you more cause they know your gonna OC it. Just keep looking around and you'll find one. But hurry they are going fast. I went to one shop today and found (2 )1gig AXIA's on my first try but no one in this town is looking for them as far as i know. But I am taking that as my only luck of the year. LOL.

I've gotten 2-1.2/266's AXIA's from them. $226
The first one was defective, couldn't get it below about 105F @ idle...it finally burned up and they RMA'd it. So far they have been great to work with.
www.tcwo.com had them a week ago. I bought mune from them and it was an AXIA but they won't tell you on the phone what you are getting. You take your chances. Mine works great. I will be pushing 1.5 ghz soon.
I got one at http://www.tcwo.com . I can't guarantee you'll get that code, but if they bought a lot of them, the odds are good.
I just walked into my local computer store and found it on the shelf
