no.. the 4800 SE is just a 4400 with 8x agp. AKA its a marketing gimick and they are just trying to sell off the excess cards by renaming them to higher numbers after adding a useless feature.

If you get a 4800SE with 3.3ns BGA ram it'll likely clock the same as a ti4600. In your case keep the 4600 as it'll tide you over till the R420 and NV40 cards show up. HL2, doom3 and just about every other game being released over the next 6 - 12 months will run just fine on your 4600. Upgrade when it'll mean something. :)

i just bought my Ti4800 earlier this week, and im pretty pleased by its performance. it has 3.6ns infineon memory on it. i have mine at 320/640 right now, i can crank up the memory higher, but 325 seems to be the limit on the GPU. hopefully ill be getting better cooling soon...im sure i could get the GPU higher.

It came in at 275 core

I must say this one over clocks well I have the core at 300

what did u guys use to overclock your ti4800's? i have the MSI, I read somewhere here before that he overclock his by just using windows, by that i mean, if u right click, u can see the MSI CLOCK TAB. then u just use the sliders to increase Core clock and Memory clock. it actually works, but when i reboot, it goes back to its default setting. any help would be much appreciated :)

i found the site that shows you how to Vmod the gF4 Ti on a google search, forgot to save it in my fav's :( ill find it again, when i do ill link you up to it. its not too hard, basically removing a resistor and adding in a potentiometer.
