I bought AS thermal epoxy maybe 2 years ago, haven't used it since and few weeks ago, I wanted to glue HS on NB and i noticed it's all dryed up or harden inside the tube.
caps were on properly.

I'm going to have buy new one, any way to prevent this from happening again?

well, to be truthful, its been 2 years, and what is it, like a few dollars for a new one? doesn't take much to get another tube. I realise its the inconvenience of it, but still...

i guess thermal epoxy is also a bad investment like all other computer parts that lose most of their value in a year or so

Same happened to me, the adhesive doesnt have the shelf life that the thermal compound does.
