View Full Version : Tbird 750 at 1 gig, no sweat. 7.5 * 133

I got my 8kta3 I ordered on tuesday today from newegg.com. $112 free shipping!

Anyway specs
Antec 250w case - $50
TNT2 ultra 32meg - $50
Tbird 750 blue - $72 AEEA week 24
PC133 256m cl2 - $45
Epox 8kta3 - $112
volcano II - $12
Maxtor 8gig - ?

So I boot the thing up. No probs at 750. This my first AMD system. My temps read 31,29,22. Then I switched the jumper to 133. Restart, and no problems. so far stable. Temps 33,30,22. This is amazing. I haven't bothered unlocking the chip cause its running a 1001 ghz!!! I love this MB!

what are the temps you guys are getting on this board? the temps look low so I'm assuming that they are. also I didn't see the temp probe sticking off the board in the socket like other MB's. Is this correct. Also what are the correct temp sensors? I chose Via868B-1-3.

I chose all three 1,2,3 temp sensors under 868B. I was just trying to figure out which was cpu, system, etc. I assume that the highest is the cpu.

I just set the fsb to 133. That's it. I'll probably unlock it later to try and wring a couple more. I have soldier of fortune on all the max settings and it doesn't even flinch!

750 Tbird, volcano ii, epox 8kta3.
set fsb jumber to 133-166 range.
turn power on

I think he means the 1001 instead of 1000. Doesn't really matter the bios makes its own determination as to the speed , mine said 990 on the older bios now it says 1000. Even though its only running a 999.7 (Details, details)


I'm running a KK266 with the same chip and same results , default everything, just moved a jumper to the 133-200 range (Iwill goes to 200)

and Viola , 750 @ 1000
