OK....I have had it---lol--- I have a BioStar M7VKB(Socket A) Mother Board with 384 PC-100 RAM. This is the prob I have. I just put this board in and put a 900 mhz Tbird in there. It reconized that chip fine. So i take that one out and put a 1000 mhz TBird in there. Nothing happens it goes through a POST but no video. I put the 900 back in and it boots up fine. This board is supposed to be 1200 mhz compatible. I have cleard CMOS and that still dosent help. Is it a bad chip??

My computer doenst even know my monitor exists. I was running at 800 and i tried to but the FSB up to 110 and then all this crap started to happen. later

if you have dips make sure that all of them are in off position. other than that the gig is probably dead!

LOL it's not a bad chip. I have the exact same motherboard and it is terrible. I have hated this board ever since I bought it and I now have an ABIT KT&A-RAID board in a fedex truck on its way to my house as we speak. I ran into a similar problem when I closed my L1 bridges. I figured the board should notice and let me specify my clock multiplier like when I first booted up, but it didn't. It just left everything like it was. It's like the board is a one processor board. Whatever one is first put in iis it.
The only reson I bought it was because I needed an ISA slot and it was the only one out besides a FIC (FICk) board. Trust me I feel for ya. So I am gonna tell ya .... get an ABIT :P

Whats up with the 100mhz Ram? Is the CPU 266?
