I'm using an Asus A7V and am having issues getting it to run at anything higher than 103 FSB. I'm using 640 megs of PC 133 memory. Currently at 1.80 volts using 103 x 12.5 for the 1287 MHZ rating on an 1100 Mhz chip. The chip has potential for alot higher, and it is running cool at about 35-36 celsius under load. Hoping to hit 1300 at least, but it is not stable over 103 FSB. Will boot into Win 2k, but can't run 3d games etc. even with higher voltage. Sometimes it won't even boot into windows at anything higher than 103 FSB, but this is rare. Won't go higher than 103 FSB regardless of multiplier I use. See you guys getting these high FSB's in the forums and CPU databases. Is it on the KT-133 chipsets only or something? What the hell is going on here? It's like I need a 13 multiplier to get any higher. This sucks when my chip can get so much higher. I have the same problem on an Abit KT7 with an 800 Duron chip that's at 1030 Mhz. They refuse this higher FSB. Any ideas?

The KT133 chipset has alot of trouble fsb OCing. I have seen lots of stories just like your where they can't get past 103, maybe 105. Others have gotten to 120. Really its the luck of the draw with that chipset. I have heard taht if you lap and put thermal paste on the "greenie meanie" heatsink that sits on the northbridge than get you some extra MHZ. The best thing to do is get a mobo with the KT133A chipset, it runs up to like 155MHZ on the fsb, you can really get your machine going then. Good Luck

you probably have a realy bad icu clock generator on your board. you should realy think about getting a kt133a if you want to get to 1300

Yeah, this POS A7V. I just ordered a KT-7A. Hopefully that will do the trick!
