Hi all, I am currently using an allied 400 watt psu and the connectors are waaaayyy tooo long for my mid tower lian li case. The inside of my case is crowded with this excess of wires, any suggestions for a good psu with shorter cables for a mid tower -fat
tie them up and hide them. Wires that are too long can always be hidden...wires that are too short cant be stretched.

Any wires at all can be soldered though :)
Whether you need to shorten them or make them longer, a soldering iron is your friend.
I have done both- and if you choose to cut and solder the wires to the lengths you desire I have one pice of advice for you:
Do NOT splice all the wires in exactly the same place!
Stagger them enough that when they are soldered back together and heat-shrinked the heat-shrink is at different points in the wiring.
In my first lengthened wire job I did NOT do this and my splice areas were almost the size of the ATX connector :( lol!
A massive ball of heat shrink tubing in two places on my pretty little 2 foot long atx cable!
Having no more than two splices in the same spot keeps the set of wires small and easy to cover with sleeving or whatever you choose to use.
