I just bought a low end 650mhz Duron and began to Oc it
on my Abit KT7A by connecting the L1 bridge. Overall, the
chip could not go higher than 733mhz and I would not be
very happy with it, compared to other happier OCers :-) :-) :-)

However, the Duron is now running at 145mhzX5=725mhz .
I did not benchmark but do the Prime95 for 2 days.
It seems... peppy little system and very stable since the
FSB is 145mhz while PCI bus is only 34mhz.

the specs of my Duron sytsem:
Abit KT 7A
256 Crucial RAM, CL2
V core 1.8V
V I/O 3.8V
CPU temp under Prime95 + Burnin test, 40-45C
Mobo temp under load 25-29C

I don't know how I could make it runs higher
than its cut off 725mhz.

I greatly appreciate your help :-) :-) :-)

First off your I/O should be 3.4v not 3.8v that is a little high. If you need that high of an I/O to reach 145fsb lower the FSB some and set that voltage back to default, it is a good idea not to be stressing the whole system when you want to test out the cpu because you can't tell what the holdup is. Try doing some tests at 133 FSB. Also the KT7A goes to 1.85v I see you are at 1.8 so there is room to increase. Many Durons also need the voltage mod to reach 1 gig so you can always give that a try but make sure your cooling is up to the task first.

Sounds like you are on the right track, but if your Duron won't run 8x100 at 1.8V, chances are you got one that doesn't like OC'ing too much. That happens sometimes.
My Duron 600 hits 8x100 at 1.45V on the core and 3.4V on the I/O. It hits 9x100 at 1.6V 9.5x100 at 1.7V and 10x100 at 1.85V. I got a lucky one. You may not have.
