greetings,
I am a new member here, and I want to know how to tell if a 900mhz socket Athlon is a T-bird or not by looking at it. I am thinking of purchasing this CPU and want to make sure Im not getting ripped off. Here is what I can see on the core itself:
AMD Athlon
A0900AMT30
ADFA0039APCW
92422850057
1999 AMD
The core is green in color and assembled in Malaysia
.....What is it?

That's a 900MHz T-BIRD, probably from Austin

The DURONS read as follows;

AMD DURON
AXXXX (speed in MHz)

That is a TBird, year 2000, week 39. There are no Classic Athlons that are Socket A, that I'm aware of, and only a small number of TBirds that are slot A
