Sata

I just got NF7-S and it has that convertor thing?
goes into regular ide drive and I can connect to sata?
does that give me better performance?

also is there any way to disable sata?
Asus A7N8X had a jumper that I can switch, disables sata so i dont have to go through sata drive detecting during bootup.

nf7 doesn't seem to have anything like that, no jumper or BIOS menu.

in the bios menu...look for the onboard pci section. it should be in there to disable the sata.. along with other options such as disable onboard lan, and your firewire ports.
