Finally: 1GHz @ 1.6GHz

I finally got my 1GHz TB to run at 1.606GHz. code is AXIA0109BPDW. These AXIA chips are really awesome.

I was wondering I hear most of u talking about AXIA chip what is that ? do i Have it ? i have a 1.2ghz 266bus athlon not OCed yet cause im runing at 141 F 61c = (

Well i looked at my CPU and it says on my lil purple chip in middle AXIA and a bunch of numbers i guess thats good hehe.

Yea thats a good chip, but at those temp it will NOT last long

Right. You better check and make sure that your HSF is seated correctly on your CPU. 61C is way too hot. Also, make sure you are using thermal paste. if you can bring that temp down, you can probably do great things with that chip.

Therres white stuff on the fan thats all i know the guy that put it on for me in the computer show that i bought it from in NYC.

Get some artic silver2 thermal paste
and a new heatsink/fan (i sugest gobalwin)

this should bring down you temp alot

Well I have a 1.2ghz athlon TB with 266 FSB ASUS A7v133 Mother Board and a cool master fan its at 141f and 61c sum times reaches 63c and 146f I was thinking of picking up the Alpha 3065 fan from millisec.com but iam wondering if i want to overclock when i get my cpu temp runing good is the alpha a good fan to reach 1.5 or 1.6 ghz or shall i get the Headge hog Heatsink with fan its $38 plz reply ty.

Btw my CPU is AXIA chip so thats good for overclocking correct ? rite now im not turning on my comp its way to hot lol.

If you want the best and have some money to burn get swiftech's new socket A cooler otherwise I would recomend a globalwin fop38 with the 80mm fan mod, the 60mm delta it comes with works great but it is just to loud.

first off what heatsink you have

second what kind of case cooloing you have

you should be alot lower than that

I have A generic Case with 2 chassis fans 1 below the hardrive taking air out and another 1 in back of case pushing air in and a cool master CPU fan with heatsink which sucks = (

IMO you have the case fans reversed. The one in front should suck air in and the one in back should blow the hot air out.

I am using water cooling. The processor will hang at 1.6GHz after a few minutes when I use a HSF (Taisol). Btw, I am using 2.02V

1.6 GHZ is sweet, but you need to try to get that FSB up higher. I beat your multimedia score with my chip at 1.45 ghz because my FSB is at 145 FSB (and climbing, water cooler on the way).

hi all. justthought I would hop in on your thread.
I run my week08/2001 AXIA1.2 @ 1.6Ghz stable with only water cooling. Requires 2.05v Vcore though, but no TEC (as yet!).
Had it in win @ 1.7Ghz but could do much :(.
System was not 100% stable before V mod, but I can sit with idel temp of around 28c, and chip does not go over 42c @full load.

Hey i was thinking about running this thing with the raid enabled.....anyone have problems with those hugh FSBs and the RAID

Hi m8.
I run2 x Diamondmax 45+'s on my ASUS A7V-133 in RAID0.
It starts to get a littl slow , and pauses on win entry at 160mhz, sweet spot seems to be 37/38mhz.
The amount of time I have crashed my system, I would have though a reg error would have apeared. i keep trying for 1.7Ghz stable.
Note that the ASUS uses the high quality promise controller, not sure how good the Highpoint would be.
