Hi !
I'am building a few computers and I'm new to TBird CPU (I have build hundred of Pentium based PC).
The 3 first computers (Duron 800, Duron 800, T850) worked flawlessly.
But not MY T900.
Spec:
Morex 300W PSU
Asus A7V133 Mobo
AGP 3DF/X Voodoo 2000 16Mo
2 sticks of 128Mo PC133
T900
Artic silver thermal paste
GlobalWin FOP32 Cooler.
(no other cards)

Symptoms:
After cleaning the FOP32, Applying thermal paste (too much I think) on the core, I put on the PC.
It POSTed.
So i have made the other PCs and 2 two days later, I was back on my new T900.
So i started my PC again. And no vidéo at all. No beep. Fans are running but nothing else.
I take off the rams, video, unconnect the reset button and retry. No beep.
I then put the T850 from the other computer: It works.
I put the T900 on the T850 Mobo: Doesn't work . MSI dled says : not able to start CPU.
Did I fryed my CPU ?????

You put morex psu if you ment memorex psu it might be the psu. I know on both my abit boards the memorex psu wouldn't work. It worked on 3 other boards I have but not the Abits.

if you did fry it.. lets say it over heated ... try this take a soldering iron and re solder all the little solder places onto of the chip.. some times when they get over heated and if you do this they will work again... i fixed a few peoples Chips this way
