I'm over at my brothers house and he has a dell with a 7500 in it. I tried to install the omega drivers(I choose normal drivers, not hacked) and it screwed up his display. It looks like it can only do 8 bit color even though 32bit is selected and the screen(LCD) is very fuzzy, i tried uninstalling and even did a system restore, but it must be something in the bios because it does it even before windows loads up, HELP!

Did you mess up the monitor?...I heard that using the wrong refresh rate can damage the screen. when you unplug the monitor what happens on the screen?

The screen's fine, it has something to do with the card.

Did you try taking the card out and reseating it? I had an 8500LE that had an 8500 bios flashed to it that made the card look artifacted until Windows was loaded up and you OC'ed the card to at least 270/270. His card doesnt have anythign like that going on with it does it?

The comp's a dell and the card was working great before the driver install, so I doubt it needs a reseating. There aren't any artifacts, just terrible color and a really fuzzy screen.

Have you tried reinstalling ATI Approved drivers?

Try reinstalling ATi's drivers. There may have been a corruption when you installed the Omega's (Its's rare, but it can happen with the installation of anything)

But personally...i'd blame Dell :D

Tried reinstalling the ATI drivers, but it didn't change a thing. Could it have been possible that the BIOS was somehow affected by the install? That's about the only thing I could think of. And yes, I blame Dell also, but I still need a fix ;). Is there way to get an ATI BIOS flash for the card?
