if your chip is dead try this... works most of the time.. solder the little resisters on the chip and anything eles that solder on it.. sometimes if the chip gets to hot the solder melts.. i had one that i did this too i couldn't tell by looking at the chip.. i was just playing around with it.. i thout its dead .. not like it will hurt anything... so i got my soldering iron old and soldered them all.. and it worked.. it was only a cyrix 300... but i did the same thing to a friends cpu he had a amd athon 700 that died.. he didnt beleave me that i maybe able to fix it.. i charged the fool 20 dollors and it only took like 2 mins to warm up the iron and 1 or 2 mins to solder them all.. i should of used gold solder maybe it would make a better conection even yet...

my only thouts are what am i going to do with the old cyrix m2 300.. it works but to slow.. maybe a good paper weight

Perhaps it could be Folding Protiens, every little bit helps.
