Hello, I have an Enermax 350W PSU and was wondering if my 12V rail was safe. I have 2x SATA HDD's, 1x Floppy drive, 2x CD-ROM drives, 1x 2.4C @ 3.2 GHZ CPU, 6x 4 pin case fans, 1x ATI Radeon 9600 Pro VID, 2x Kingston HyperX PC3500, and 1x ASUS P4c800-E Dlx MOBO. My 12 volt rail fluctuates like crazy, from 11.9X - 12.1X Please see screenshot below, do you think this is safe?

Thanks,

You can't get much better than that. It's suppose to be at 12, and it is at 12. Nothin to worry about IMO.

less than 1% fluctuation is great

Yes that's safe. My 12v rail goes from 11.98 - 12.18v (MBM 5).
PC Probe isn't the best monitoring program out there, i've read MBM 5 is more reliable.
There's nothing better than a voltmeter though.

Voltages will always drop and rise slightly due to the change in load on the components etc. From the screen shot you showed us i would say that is perfectly safe, and actually pretty good. The +5v rail looks pretty nice aswell. If you want a good way to test your comp at full load and help the OC team you could join the overclockers.com Folding Team, just come into the Folding team forum and say hello, and ask all the questions you like about it :)

i thought monitoring programs gets their readings from the same sources, the sensors on the mobo, which is why mbm5 has to be programmed for each mobo
