I had most parts folding but since the breaker in my room is easily tripped with the a/c on I am down to my main rig and one extra rig. Plus I am moving soon so I will have to get rid of most stuff so I will be hitting the classies soon enough. Once I get that damn camera!

edit: if i were to add up all the computer componets i've bought (that i still have) i would probably hit well over $5K. i really don't want to find out how close that guess actually is though.

Rig as it was a few days ago (before selling the 9500np):

1700+ - $65
8RDA - $75
512mb Mushkin PC3200 - $149 (Ouch! This used to be cheap for PC3200)
Sound Blaster Live! - Found it - literally
NIC - $25 - Phone line NIC for when I'm at home and need Internet
HP 8200i 4x CD-burner (burning at 8x though!) - $100 a few years ago
40gb HD - came in my old Sony PC, but estimate $75
floppy - it was laying around
Antec SLK2600 - $75
Radeon 9500 - $125
SK-6+ and all fans - $35
Philips 107T monitor - $150
various other peripherals - $30

That all comes out to about $904. The true value of most of this is a lot less than that, but oh well. The 9500 is getting replaced by a 9600 Pro, so that would make a few dollars difference. I expect this to go up in the near future, too, as I'm putting heatsinks all over my 8RDA and vdd modding it. I'm also switching to an AX-7 and if I can find a cheap 80mm-92mm fan adapter I'll be buying a 92mm fan to go on top of it. After that I'm getting a TV Wonder or something like that and a small LCD screen to work as a secondary monitor for watching TV and playing PS2 games. My PS2 is going inside my PC. :) *Sigh* Will it ever stop? Of course not.

Edit: Criminy, how could I forget the secondary rig?
Celeron 1.1a - $40
mobo - $15
RDRAM - traded 2 128mb sticks of SDRAM for it
Radeon 8500LE - $48
CD drive - $15
Antec SLK1600 - $48
Philips PSC604 4.1 Sound card - $25
8.4gb HD - given to me

Wow, if I sold off my primary rig and switched to my secondary, I could probably have a bunch of cash to umm... buy... stuff... like computer parts... with.

I have yet to stop spending money on my computer. It's more like an evolving entity than a computer. It eats all of the electricity I can give it and gobbles cash to round out its diet.

I would guess $3k + in the years. About $350 for water cooling alone.

I can't count that high ;)

Seriously, my stuff has been a steady progression for quite a few years.....

All told I would guesstimate something around 10K in 10 years.
Multiple rigs for much of that time and it includes ALL computer related stuff.
About 15 desktop pcs, two laptops, 1 HPC, 2 digital cameras and various smaller ticket items.

Stopped counting long ago.

My original machine has somehow turned into three. Eventually after enough upgrading there is enough parts in the closet to build more computers.
