my spec: a7v133a T-bird 900mhz 128mg of pc133mhz 2chasis fan one for intake and another for out.
Q: initial post, bios indicate cpu temp is at 32c. played 3d game to warm up the cpu and restarted. this time cpu temp is at 41c and steady. that's cool.

but asus pc probe says cpu temp is 52c yak. sometime 53c anybody else has this problem? should i trust what bios says? or do i need more efficient heatsink and fan? i like to think pcprobe is wrong, i need your opinion.

anyone knows forum just for av7 issue?

Bios is always the most accurate, go with that one. However, you can never have too much cooling especially when it comes to OCing. I have 7 fans all together including the ones on the vid card and proc. Case temp is never higher than 22'C, I have an FOP 38 on the way to get my proc temps down too.

I have the same problem. My thermal sensor says 25 C at idle and the mobo monitor says 22 C. When under load the sensor reads 35-39 C and the monitor says 30-32 C. I quess I can't complain, when I read about people running high 50's and low 60's. That would shorten the life expectancy of most anything!!
As far as Asus only forums, I haven't seen one yet, but alot of members run Asus boards.

I've got two ASUS boards, A7V and A7V133 with the same problem. I've read that the on board monitors are known to be off by as much as 10C. In my experience I've learned to trust my own judgement, making sure that the temps don't vary too much.

On the A7V, I have a DURON running at 1050MHz and the temps are normally in the mid 50's, if they creep up, then I look into the problem. On the A7V133, I have a DURON running at 1110MHz, the temps stay around 49/51C range.

Also I've found that if I keep the FSB lower it helps. I'd say temps somewhere in the mid 50's are acceptable on this board.
